God

There is one and only one living and true God. "The eternal God reveals Himself to us as Father, Son and Holy Spirit, with distinct personal attributes, but without division of nature, essence, or being.

Invitation to "Down Home Speaking"

June 7, 2018

Dear Fellow Patriots:

I have been told that the word “Patriot” is offensive to many in our great nation who have been tainted with the false ideology of political correctness. Well, the word “patriot” refers to someone who loves, supports, and defends his or her country and its interests with devoted service. Actually, the word “patriot” captures the rugged, free, righteous spirit of this great land we call “America.”

One vital part of our patriotic service is that God has given us the privilege of electing those who will represent us in our halls of government. First Chief Justice of the United States, John Jay, said, Providence has given to our people the choice of their rulers, and it is the duty, as well as the privilege and interest of our Christian nation, to select and prefer Christians for their rulers.”

{David Barton: Wallbuilders.com; “The Importance of Christian Involvement and Voting in the Political Arena - https://wallbuilders.com/importance-voting-christian-involvement-political-arena/ } [John Jay, The Correspondence and Public Papers of John Jay, Henry P. Johnston, ed. (New York: G.P. Putnams Sons, 1890), Vol. IV, p. 365.]

Our patriot responsibility, then, involves vetting candidates who run for public office and that requires that we evaluate them on the basis of principle and not according to who will give us the most “stuff,” as we are increasingly prone to do.

God’s Word, the Bible, gives us the first crucial principles with which to examine a candidate who is running for office. God says that person must be able, must fear God, be grounded in truth, and hate dishonest gain (Exodus 18:21).

Additionally, the person who runs for office needs an acceptable decision-making matrix, one that adheres to the external principles of our Constitutional Republic, specifically, the Bible and the U.S. Constitution, interpreted according to the original intent of the Framers who penned it. I was listening to Congressman Jim Bridenstine [now the Director of NASA] who said that every decision in Congress must meet this test: Does it correspond with God’s will’ Is it Constitutional; Do we need it; Can we afford it?

The Oklahoma gubernatorial race this year is perhaps the most critical in the history of our great state.

We need a governor who knows how to deliver a principled plan for economic health, and sound financial policy and money management. I am told that during the most recent session of the Oklahoma Congress a few of our conservative Senators offered a plan to give teachers a $7,000.00 raise across the board and without increasing taxes in a single area. It was rejected by moderates masquerading as conservative Republicans in favor of the largest tax increase in Oklahoma history.

We need a governor who understands state sovereignty and has the courageous convictions to implement it. State sovereignty speaks to the truth that America is a union of 50 states around the Constitution. Each of the fifty states has a Capital, its own congress, and its own chief executive [governor] because we are sovereign states and not subject to the often unlawful federal overreach we are experiencing today. One example of this unlawful overreach is when the five justices overturned the clear majority will of the Oklahoma people and the American people across the nation concerning same-sex marriage. Even Chief Justice John Roberts said this ruling was not law, but an act of will by the five judges.

We need a governor who has the theological ability, the moral courage, the compassion and grit to end this holocaust nefariously called “abortion.” Friends, the birth of a sweet baby ends the pregnancy of a woman; abortion does not end the pregnancy, it takes a human life.

There is one [and only one] such candidate in the Oklahoma gubernatorial race. Dan Fisher is pastor of Liberty Church in Yukon, OK. He is a two-time Oklahoma Representative and knows not only the U.S. Constitution, but also the Oklahoma Constitution. He is author of the book, “Bringing Back the Black Robed Regiment,” and travels across the nation with a dramatic, world-class presentation of the Black Robed Regiment, a moniker given to the great preachers of the American Revolutionary era.

I am inviting you to the “Down Home Speaking” event, next Tuesday, June 12, 2018, at Betts Ministries in Caney, Ok. Burgers and hot dogs will be served at 5:30p.m., and the event will begin at approximately 6:15. Meet and listen to Dan Fisher. It is my personal conviction that once you listen to him, he will be your candidate for Governor of Oklahoma.
